In a day and age where the elderly are living longer but also suffering from diminished mental and physical capacity, we see and hear of the toll it takes on not only the aging senior but their families.
It seems we all know and can relate to the struggle of caring for those suffering from conditions including dementia. However, hearing and knowing the potential devastating aspects fails to prepare you fully for the feeling that a parent no longer remembers their home, their purpose, their direction and, the most painful of all, the ones who have always loved them, their children, their spouse, their family.
We so appreciate all of you that listen and share and encourage others to do the same.
